WooHoo! I’m on a roll! Another great review! Red at Romance Junkies has awarded HOW FAERIE DUST IS MADE, season one of THE ROSCOMMON FAERIE TALES, 4.5 out of 5 Blue Ribbons! She said, “I was so impressed with the visionary writing in this book.” and “This is the first in a series for Nita Wick and I certainly look forward to more of her stories.”

No, not 5 bucks… 5 Books!!!
That was the rating Christina at Wantz Upon a Time has awarded season one of THE ROSCOMMON FAERIE TALES! That’s a 5 out of 5, by the way.
WooHoo! I’m dancing around with a HUGE grin on my face! Christina and here crew are known to be painfully honest in their reviews, so I was really nervous. But she liked it! She liked it! Hey, Meike! She liked it! (That’s Meike the muse. LOL! Tell Lizzy and Little Bit, too!)
Here’s a quote: ”Yet another version of Romeo & Juliet, this is a fresh take in a lush world. Roscommon Faerie Tales: Season One is a gratifying read.”

VERY BIG GRIN!!! I’m on cloud nine. Wow, what a Mother’s Day! My family gave me a laptop a few days ago, so I wasn’t expecting anything else. But guess what! I got a new cell phone today, too! I had a great day!

The kittens are just so sweet. I thought I’d share a few more pictures.

I’m so excited. I just got my first review! Dawn at Love Romances had this to say about How Faerie Dust is Made, season one of The Roscommon Faerie Tales: “Wonderfully written and full of characters to make you laugh, cry and sigh over” and “many kudos to Ms. Wick for creating something that will be a classic before long.”

Has it just been a few unlucky friends and myself that have run into this recently or is it something that is becoming more commonplace?
Lately, I have had the very unpleasant opportunity to deal with a bunch of business people who don’t keep their promises.
Example one, an advertisement I purchased on one site was supposed to start around the first of the month. This is the eleventh. Still no ad.
Example two, a friend took off work to meet a plumber. A plumber! You know, the guys who want all your money and your first born… Anyway, she took off work and the guy never showed up, never called… No apology.
Example three, I purchased an advertisement on a site on April 16th. I’ve yet to receive an email saying, “Thank you for your business.” And worse, the ad is still not running! My emails to the webmaster have gone unanswered.
Example four, another site said they would have a review for me last week. Still no review.
Example five, two other places I’ve dealt with lately about my serial have made promises and then not delivered. Sometimes they offer excuses; sometimes they don’t even bother to be polite.
Example six, I called a business recently to have my house pressure washed. They said, “We will have our guy call you to set up an appointment.” Did he ever call? You guessed it. I had to call another business.
Does no one keep their promises anymore? Most of you know that I work at a credit union. I am in the service industry. I pride myself on my reputation for good customer service. If I tell you that I will have your loan ready this afternoon, then by God, it will be ready. Count on it. I don’t make promises I can’t keep. And if, on the rare occasion, there are circumstances beyond my control that prevent me from following through, the moment I know that I will not be able to deliver, I contact that customer with a heartfelt apology and let them know that I am doing my best to make it right.
Have my friends and I just been unlucky? Or is this something everyone is dealing with? I would love to hear from you. Someone please tell me that this is NOT the wave of the future.

Did you see American Idol last night? I can’t believe it. Chris is gone.
Well, you can bet that Simon was crying the blues last night. He thought he was going to have Chris in an iron-clad contract with a man who promises to be a real money maker. As much as I hated to see it, this may have been the best thing for Chris. He will have every agent and record producer in the country vying for him now. He will get a much better deal because of it, too.
We haven’t seen the last of Chris Daughtry. That much is certain.
