I’ve been adding a few pages to my web site today.  The pages are for The Roscommon Faerie Tales.  Book one of the series, How Faerie Dust Is Made, will be released soon. 

I still don’t have the exact date, but we’re currently waiting for the final galley.  In the first galley, I found a few typos I should have caught during edits.  But as soon as the new galley is approved, we should have a date.

In anticipation of the release, I’ve added pages that might help readers.  One is a glossary page.  I don’t use many Gaelic words, but there are a few.  So I thought maybe a few definitions and pronunciations would be good.  There’s a map on the setting page.  There’s a page to introduce the characters from book one. 

And there’s also a page with a little information about the Irish Gods and Goddesses mentioned in the book.  For those who are not familiar with Balor, you’ll learn why Conall says, “Balor’s eye!”  You’ll also learn about Aeval, Aine, and several others.  These deities were mentioned several times in the book.  I thought readers might be interested to know what the references mean.

It won’t be long now.    Hopefully very soon I’ll be posting the official release date.  In the mean time, check out the new pages on my web site.

I hope everyone’s holiday is wonderful.   Thanksgiving is a day to count your blessings, be with family and remember what’s important.  Once again, I will give thanks for my happy, healthy family and all my wonderful friends, both nearby and online.  There are far too many blessing to list here, but I plan to spend some time counting each and every one.

I know, I know…  I haven’t posted in quite a while and when I did, it was just a stupid YouTube video.  Sorry.  But I’ve really been trying to spend every moment working on my writing stuff.

I finished the edits for How Faerie Dust Is Made.  We’re just waiting for the galley now.  Once it’s approved I’ll have an official release date.   

And… I finished my faerie short story!  Yay!  I wrote it for an anthology.  I’m hoping it’s the type of story the editor was looking for.  If not, I’ll submit it for separate publishing as a regular short story.  Either way… It’s finished!  Can you tell I really feel good about that?  LOL

My goal is to finish up the western and part two of The Roscommon Faerie Tales soon.  Part two is the sequel to How Faerie Dust Is Made.  It’s currently about half finished.

But it was awesome to type those two little words every writer loves– The End.  LOL  Even if it was just a short story, it always feels good to finish. 

So now I just need to polish it up and send it to the editor who sent me that note about her “call for submission.”    Wish me luck!
