Trinity sat in her chair watching MSNBC TV her daughter and son in bed early for school the next day. Husband snoring away in bed.  Laptop in lap she leaned back in her chair, eyes closed. Stories flashed in her mind, but not one idea where to take the story she was working on now. Jr. her kitten asleep on her numb legs. I need an enemy! Who will it be, where will it go?

Hello, my name is Trinity Blacio as you see above all most every night I’m trying to write my stories. Sometimes they fly by and my fingers can’t keep up with my mind. Other days I want to pull my hair out. When I started writing seven years ago I had no idea what was involved in writing one story. I have come a long way baby since then. Editing by itself I learn so many new things. So I have a little quiz for you to take today as a reader.

But first let me tell you a little about myself. I have one story out at Freya’s Bower One Touch, One Glance A Sweet Romance Anthology. Tuesday’s Affair is a contemporary story about second chances.

Phooka’s Love is a menage, paranormal coming to Freya’s Bower.

Sammy’s Warrior God is a paranormal also coming to Freya’s Bower.

I have a menage coming to Siren called Dangerous Possession: The Claiming.

I am a graduate from Cleveland State University with a BA in Psychology, married with two kids. Have three cats and four fish. We live in Elyria, Ohio where all four of us were born. My website is at: www.trinityblaciosfantasty.com

I also have a yahoo group at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/castleintheskyflightoffantasy/

On top of this I’m now promotion coordinator at Freya’s Bower and Wild Child Publishing.

Okay… rubs hands together…It’s time for the quiz enough about me.
1. What kind of stories would you like to see more off?
2. What turns you off as a reader when reading a story?
3. How do you usually find your books?
4. Do you participate in chats, contests?
5. What do you think of promos? Do you read them? Do you delete them when you see the word promo?

See now that wasn’t hard was it? Before I say goodbye I’ll leave you a little tidbit from one of my upcoming stories Sammy’s Warrior God. Mind you this is not edited yet.

“Let’s dance.” His other arm wrapped around her and brought her body closer. Sammy knew from research he was considered a deity, his lust legendary, along with his hunger.

“You don’t have to dance with me. I know you’re here only to capture the one responsible for harming your daughter.” Sammy tried to back away, but he stopped her retreat with a feather light brush of his lips upon her neck.

“I’m not dancing with you to thank you.” He placed a kiss on her neck. “I’m dancing with you because I want to.”

Goose bumps popped up on her arms. He stroked her neck with his tongue, and nibbled her skin.

Thank you,

Trinity Blacio

May all your Fantasy’s and Dreams come true!

Hey, Trinity! Thanks so much for joining the party.

I’m going to try and switch from writer to reader mode and answer your questions. Hey– writers are readers, too! LOL

    1. According to a NY Times bestseller I heard speak, this is NOT a popular combination, so I know I’m in the minority here. But I’d like to see more paranormal historicals. I want more historical romance with paranormal elements(and not just werewolves and vampires.)
    2. What turns me off? The only thing that really bothers me is a boring story. You know? And I’m not saying there has to be a lot of action or anything. But a story is boring if I can’t connect. I need to feel something for the characters and their circumstances. I need the author to make me want to turn the page– either to see what happens next in the plot or to find out more about the characters.
    3. I usually pick up my books at conferences. LOL But the ones I don’t get there, I find from recommendations or from authors I’ve read before and enjoyed.
    4. Yes, I participate. Most often I participate at an author, but I do check out the chats of other authors if I’m a fan or if they are a friend. Yes, I participate in contests, too. LOL I never win, but I try.
    5. To be honest, I simply don’t have time to read the promos anymore. I read promos during loop chats, though. I do remember scanning the promos long ago before I started writing, but now that I’m writing, there are just not enough hours in the day.

Hi, Trinity! Nice excerpt! :) I look forward to reading the whole thing once it’s finished.

Now, I’m going to go from writer to reader, too, to answer your survey.

    1. What kind of stories would you like to see more of?
Spec Fic. I can’t get enough.

    2. What turns you off as a reader when reading a story?
Honestly — and this does not suggest in ANY way that I think these stories are not good — I don’t like first person. Couldn’t tell you why. It’s just a turn-off for me. Many people love it, and many incredible stories are written in it, but for some reason it just isn’t for me.

    3. How do you usually find your books?
I hear about them from friends, or I browse the bookstores (both virtual and real-world).

    4. Do you participate in chats, contests?
I lurk nearly everywhere and chat once in a while. Contests aren’t much my thing, though, as I rarely win. ;) However, if the contest asks for a fun response, then I might take part just for the sake of participating.

    5. What do you think of promos? Do you read them? Do you delete them when you see the word promo?
I’ll read pretty much anything that comes my way. It’s like some kind of addiction. I don’t want any help overcoming it, thank you. The world should just respect my problem. :)

Hi Trinity! Why is it when you’re stuck on one story, a thousand other ideas come into your head? Happens to me all the time…

    Okay, onto the quiz:

    1. What kind of stories would you like to see more of?

I want to see more medieval romances that aren’t Scottish–although I love men in kilts, don’t get me wrong, but I like knights in shining armor too.

    2. What turns you off as a reader when reading a story?

Too much backstory, not enough action, blatantly not researched, characters that don’t have any characterization and weak plots.

    3. How do you usually find your books?

At the store, online, word of mouth.

    4. Do you participate in chats, contests?

Chats all the time, contests sometimes.

    5. What do you think of promos? Do you read them? Do you delete them when you see the word promo?

I read them, you never know what it says and you might find something you like!

    Your books sound great Trinity!

    1) What kind of stories would you like to see more of? For erotica, I’m a sucker for M/M/F. Two strong heroes are better than one.

    2) What turns you off as a reader when reading a story? Any discordant thought, action, or fact. It ruins the rhythm for me.

    3) How do you usually find your books? Lately, I’ve been reading authors that are at the same publishing house as me. I also have a few authors that I follow pretty religiously.

    4) Do you participate in chats and contests? I read a lot of sites, but I only comment if I feel driven to. (Lots of factors contribute to the drive.)

    5) What do you think of promos? Do you read them? Do you delete them when you see the word promo? I don’t automatically delete, but if I open it and it’s full of widgets and gizmos I hit the delete button.

    Hope this helps!

  5. Comment by Marci Baun — February 12, 2009 @ 12:46 pm

First, I love all of the covers. (Not biased at all here. ;) ) And the excerpt made me want to read more. (grin)

    1. I am like Nita. I’d love to see more paranormal historicals. I also love Regency romances.

    2. Inconsistencies in a plot or character as well as inaccuracy in a historical.

    3. Excerpts and covers. Also, if a friend recommends a book, I’m more apt to buy it than something else.

    4. I do participate in chats, but that may be because I am a publisher. LOL I think if I didn’t publish books, I still would. I love the repartee of the authors.

    5. I delete most of the promos. I get so much email I don’t really have time to read promos. If someone doesn’t list an email as promo and I open it to find that it’s a promo, that ticks me off. I’m less likely to open any mail from them after that.

    Great questions and blog, Trinity!

    Marci

    Hi Trinity,
Wow, girl, major congrats on your upcoming release and you know I love your books. Now, on to your questions.

1.What kind of stories would you like to see more of? Definitely paranormal, any genre…I haven’t had my fill of vampires yet.

2.What turns you off as a reader when reading a story? Like another said, I really don’t care for first person. For me, it’s distracting and I like to know more than one characters POV, emotions, etc. I also don’t like the double hero thing, just my personal taste in romance, one guy, one girl.

    3. How do you usually find your books? Book stores, Amazon.com and word of mouth.

    4. Do you participate in chats, contests? All the time…lol…

    5. What do you think of promos? Do you read them? Do you delete them when you see the word promo? I don’t delete them, but I’ve never quite figured out the difference in a Promo and posting excerpts…It’s all promotional…Honestly, I’d like to see the word promo done away with and just go for something like Promotional Excerpts…lol…again…that’s just me…Have a great day!!!…Tabs

Trinity, I haven’t read your book yet.. how can that have happened, under the circumstances

    LOL
    xoxoxox congratulations

Trinity, I loved learning more about you. Good luck with all your coming releases!!

    Hugs…
